Self-taught, the act of painting and sculpting for Mulia is a principle of self-exploration and affirmation, a sincere approach rooted in creation and practice.

Passionate about photography from a young age, Mulia made it her profession but decided a few years ago to give free rein to her creative activity. Immersed in the world of primitive art from the beginning, her works are imbued with it. Gauguin wrote: "Truth is pure cerebral art, it is primitive art," and for Mulia, truth lies in life, in encounters. Just as her signature @mulia is connected to life.

The story of her painting began on a rainy day with her 4-year-old daughter, a first canvas created with four hands that became a revelation and the start of a beautiful collaboration between mother and daughter, resulting in ©MULIA from their names Muriel and Lia.

Mulia chose to develop a free-form style, far from the constraints of photography, playing with rules and offering instinctive and positive canvases that reflect her personality, which favors spontaneity and energy.

An artist of the moment, her work is made of superimpositions, additions, reliefs, asperities, colors, and words, which she appreciates as much for their meaning as for their visual aspect.
